Sorcery 101 Cover by Kellhound1365 Sorcery 101 Cover by Kellhound1365
I'm in the process of redoing the begining of Sorcery 101 [link] so I can pitch it to publishers. Here's a nice title page from it.

Lovely cover, and good luck with the pitch. I like Sorcery 101 a lot as it is, but I think ongoing, story-driven comics really work best on the printed page.

First Darkhorse, becasue an editor I talked too seemed interested in at least showing it around to other editors. And then if they send no I'm sending it off to a few smaller publishers like Arcania.

Ooh! I've been wanting to do something like that myself but I wasn't sure how to get into contact with anyone. Then again, I'm sure a lot of people are in my boat. I really hope this goes well for you! ^^

Looks great!

If you're going to be printing this into a book as a spread, keep in mind that the center fold is going to eat up some of your drawing, so the sorcery 101 logo would get distorted and cut off. If you can, it might be best to rotate it the other way and shrink it down slightly so that it fits onto one page.

Danny looks adorable. I really love the attention you paid to the light source!

Title says cover. :P No center fold will be eating the text. I do however have a version slightly bigger to leave bleed room.

Heh, I like how Danny's lighting it with his thumb. That's totally one of the first things he learned how to do, isn't it?

Also, I see that he has not only bought a new pack since he left the house, but has smoked nearly all of them before having returned. I'm assuming so, anyway, since that looks like a normal label, rather than the DEATH STICKS label Ally uses. Either he hasn't gone home in a while, or he smokes more than I thought he did.

(Yes, I do realize you made it a normal label because people unfamiliar with the comic wouldn't understand. I felt like saying that anyway.)

This is beautiful. I really like the shadows - they really draw attention to the picture. I also like the angle. The font almost blends into the background, though I'm not sure if that can be helped.

I really, really like this.
Well done!
